<p>PURPOSE:The title tape or sheet having water permeability, free from causing rash or inflammation on the skin, prepared by applying an adhesive base composition consisting of a specific water-soluble polyol, a high polymer which is soluble or swells in water, and an adhesive to an air-permeable substrate. CONSTITUTION:A water-based adhesive (solid content 40-60wt.%), e.g. natural rubber, polyisobutylene latexes, etc., is incorporated with (A) 3-25wt.% of a water-soluble polyol, e.g. propylene glycol, glycerol, etc. and (B) 1-25wt.% of a high polymer, e.g. polyvinly alcohol, methyl cellulose, etc. which is soluble or swells in water to give the total content of (A) and (B) of 6wt.% or more, thus giving an adhesive base composition. The composition thus obtained is applied to an air-permeable substrate at a coating weight of 50-2,000g/m<2>.</p> |
