<p>The device is provided with an aeration tank (10), to which is fed (21) waste water containing organic material which is aerated therein in the presence of activated sludge. Air is introduced into the tank at the bottom by an air diffusion apparatus (12) and rises through an air dispersion apparatus (13) situated above and through a plurality of internal cylinders (17) arranged above the same. In this manner, a very intensive and efficient aeration is achieved in the aeration tank by an overall circulation and partial circulations. The device makes possible the treatment of waste water having a high content of organic material in a small aeration tank with a high reaction rate. Moreover, the water (22) flowing off has a significantly reduced oxygen demand (BOD). <IMAGE></p> |
