Homogeneous polymer soln. with good transparency and spinnability, was obtained by dissolving copolymers contg. acrylonitrile>=40, viny1 or vinylidene halides<=50, and other ethylenically unsatd. compds. 0-15wt, % in a solvent consisting of 30-60% thiocyanate, 25-55% water, and 5-45% of >=1 of polyalkylene glycols or their ethers.
