PURPOSE:To insert a recording medium surely between main and auxiliary magnetic poles by providing guides for guiding the recording medium to a magnetic head or in proximity to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Recording medium guiding guides 20 which are constituted by a non-magnetic material and are so formed as to have spreading toward the recording medium inserting direction are provided to a main magnetic pole 2 and auxiliary magnetic pole 4 on the side where the recording medium 1 is to be inserted. Then, even if the recording medium 1 is inserted in a deviated position in the clearance between the main magnetic pole 2 and auxiliary magnetic pole 4, it is guided by the guiding guides 20, whereby it is surely led into the clearance between the main magnetic pole 2 and auxiliary magnetic pole 4, thus the accident occuring in the insersion miss of the recording medium is obviated and damaging of the recording medium 1 is prevented. The similar effect is also provided even by providing a taper to the recording medium insertion side of the main and auxiliary magentic poles 2, 4 and using these as guiding guides. |
