PURPOSE:To minimize the meandering width of a belt form photoreceptor by mechanically detecting the offsetting of the belt form photoreceptor near both end parts of a support roller and tilting a control roller in the horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:An endless belt form photoreceptor 4 is put on between a drive roller 26, control roller 27 and support roller 28, and the control roller 27 provided in the position forming a obtuse angle is so supported as to permit horizontal and vertical movements simultaneously. The shaft 27A of the control roller 27 is constantly raised in the upward direction by an L type lever 32 and a pulling spring 34, whereby constant tension is applied to the belt form photoreceptor 4. Now, when the belt form photoreceptor 4 meanders and its edge end part pushes the detection plate 38 on this side, a control lever 31 turns about a rotating base 43 and this horizontal turning is transmitted via the L type lever 32 to the controller 27, whereby meandering correction is accomplished. |
