PURPOSE:Cooling water path opening and shutting equimpent to prevent effectively overheat in the hot season, operating effectively the heater in the cold season, permitting to change over the opening setting timing to the different temperature in summer and winter seasons. CONSTITUTION:Engine cooling water returns to the cooling water pump through the by-pass path 23 and pipe 26 from the path 6 of thermostat case 1, in winter season, if a manual opening and shutting valve 24 is kept opened, the cooling water temperature which flows in the above path 23 increases gradually to exceed the first setting temperature, the cooling water temperature becomes the second setting temperature nevertheless the first feeler valve 13 1 is shut, the cooling water from the pump flows into the pressure chamber 12 through the pipe 14 14' and feeler valve 13h, permitting the piston valve 8 to be under the shutting condition until the second feeler valve 13h shuts. Reversely if the opening and shutting valve 24 is kept shut in summer season, the cooling water is not supplied to the pressure chamber 12, thus the valve 8 is opened. |
