PURPOSE:The above-mentioned apparatus with which the cooling rate for the wire rod ring has been enabled to be uniformalized, by equipping the supplementary cooler over the conveyor and blowing thr air blast from above against the region of the wire rod at whcih the blowing of air blast from the lower pipe is insufficient. CONSTITUTION:The supplementary air blast nozzles 7 (hereinafter referred to as the supplementary air blast nozzles for cooling the chains) which make an angle of theta1 = 30-60 deg. with the face of the covoyor and are used for blowing the air blast from above heading toward the moving direction of the wire rod (the arrow L) and the supplementary air blast nozzles 8 (hereinafter referred to as the supplementary air blast nozzles for cooling the lateral) which make an angle of theta2=30-60 deg. with the face of the conveyor at the position keeping out of the air blast nozzles 3 from below and are used for blowing the air blast obliquely from above making a right angle with the moving direction of the wire rod and heading toward the outer sides of the conveyor, to the region of the wire rod on the chains 5 for moving and the chains 6 for supporting of the conveyor, are installed by being hung respectively from the gate-shaped frams body 10. |
