A flux coated are welding rod for horizontal fillet and downward welding was manufd. thus, the steel core wire was coated with 14-23% SiO2, 5-16% TiO2, 0.5-7% ZrO2, 4-11% Mn, 37-60% Fe. The coating material, composed primarily of SiO2TiO2 ZrO2, made less noise, spatters and undercuts while welding. Mn, Fe as deoxidizer gave excellent workability while welding.
