<p>PURPOSE:To make the supervising work safe and facilitate it without disassembling or breaking a connection box, by providing a search portion at a desired place in a radiation projecting zone and detecting the position of the search portion through a radiation detector and supervising the core of the cable from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A radiation projector 4, which contains a radiation source 5 for gamma- rays etc. and has a projecting hole 6 opened in the direction of the projection of the radiation, and the radiation detector 7 having an inlet hole 9 and a detecting element such as a GM tube are located in face of each other outside the pipe 2 of the cable in the radiation projecting zone H so that the projector 4 and the detector 7 can be moved by a feed mechanism etc. along the cable pipe in the projecting zone H. The search portion 10 make of material of high radiation insulating effect such as lead is provided around a desried part of the cable core 3. Thereby, the radiation supervision, checking accuracy, working conditions, etc. are improved.</p> |
