PURPOSE:To make stable the operation of the phase synchronous oscillator in microwave, by providing the phase detector near the dielectic resonator forming the variable frequency oscillator. CONSTITUTION:Non-linear semiconductor, for example, Schottky barrier diodes 31 and 32 are coupled in series with the magnetic field H caused at external the dielectric oscillator 2 forming the variable frequency oscillator 1. Next, when the reference input signal frequency fr is coupled with the strip line 8 at the junction of the diodes 31 and 32, the diodes 31 and 32 are operated as the phase detector and the voltage based on the phase difference between the frequency fr and the frequency fo of the resonator 2 is caused at the terminal 4. The output is amplified and the oscillator 1 frequency is varied as the bias voltage of the varactor 8 and control is made so that fr=fo. Thus, the oscillator stably operating in microwave can be obtained. |
