PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic sorter to separate selectively magnetic material, non-magnetic conducting material and other materials from a mixture containing electromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic sorter is provided with non-magnetic, low conductive rotary drum 12 and magnetic device 11 placed inside the rotary drum on the same axis of rotation 17. A proper number of S and N poles of opposite polarities are alternately provided in magnet device 11. Since a current is induced to non- magnetic, conductive material 16a of the materials being sorted in consequence of the rotational magnetic field, the non-magnetic, conductive material is repelled from the upper surface of belt 19 and is collected into hopper 20. Other materials 16c fall from belt 19 and are collected in non-metal hopper 14. |
