<p>A stamping tool, for stamping sheets of cardboard into shapes for making cartons is formed from two strips (1, 2) joined together at right angles. Each strip has a V-shaped cutting edge. In order to assemble the two strips, one strip (1) has a parallel slot(1a) with a depth equal to half the strip thickness and width equal to the thickness of the other strip(2). With this joint there is no overhanging portion of the hardened and brittle edge of the blade, which can be easily broken, as is the case with existing types of joints.</p> |
