Connector for fibre=optic cables - has socket with conical tapered guide for fibre

Connector for optical fibre cables comprises a cable socket with axial guiding for the optical fibre and a threaded sleeve. The socket (1) has a cylindrical hollow section (2) to receive and hold the cable (8) and a conical tapered guide section (3) to receive and hold the optical fibre (9). Pref. there is a reduced dia. section (4) accessible through an assembly opening (5) between the cable and fibre receiving sections. The advantages lie in easy assembly and easily mfd. injection-moulded body.
