Halogen concentration control - by voltage difference between electrodes controlling dispenser through comparator

The halogen concentration is liquid, e.g. in the chlorinated water for swimming baths is measured and controlled by electrodes, made of a metal of group Ib and VIIIb of the periodic table. High-ohm resistors between voltage sources and electrodes are high enough to keep the current between the electrodes constant. A voltage differential amplifier is inserted between electrodes, display unit and chlorine dispenser. This results in a linear connection between measured quantity and halogen concentration. The system is simple and easy to operate. It has a long service life.
