The independently driven and steered access and handling crane carries vertical loads. This crane ensures especially access to sides of a ship in dry dock on cleaning hull sides by high pressure blasting or for painting. The crane assembly incorporates material storage holders (17, 18) and jib (22) rotates about a vertical (21) and horizontal (24) axis. The jib has steering system (19) and working platform (27). The drive bearings support also material storage and the steering system. The working platform can be rotated additionally about its own horizontal and vertical axes (34, 43). The whole assembly, together with material transfer system forms an independent unit. |
