PURPOSE:To adjust frequencies without degrading equivalent impedances by depositing a material such as Au, Ag, Al or other on the side face of the crystal vibrator. CONSTITUTION:8 denotes the thickness-width slip crystal vibrator and 9, 10 denote the exciting electrodes. Respectively two electrodes are disposed on the front and back and a frequency adjusting material 9b is disposed on the side face 9a of the thickness-width slip crystal vibrator 8, having a certain angle of inclination to the Z-axis without being perpendicular thereto. This enables the strict solution to be obtained in the equation of determining the frequency, enables stress Zx to be made 0 on the side face (the face perpendicular to the width direction) and makes possible miniaturization. |
