Device for cathodic protection of a metal underground object by means of a reactive anode (2) which surrounds the object to be protected (1). The crown-shaped anode made of a metal which is more electronegative than that of the object to be protected (1) is secured mechanically with electrical contact to the said object with lock screws (7) tapped into a steel ring (6) embedded in the anode (2).
