<p>The equipment prevents overfilling of tanks, partic. the fuel tanks of private cars, part of the tank volume acting as a pressure compensation chamber for temp. fluctuations. A vent leads to the filling spout, having a first vent pipe determining the maximum permissible fuel level, while a second one vents the compensation chamber. The vent pipe (15, 16, 24, 25, 27) from the compensation chamber (19) is controlled by the cap (12) on the filling spout (11), being shut off when the spout is opened and opened when it is shut.</p> |
