[Also in Division A5] An animal feed in liquid form comprises an aqueous solution or dispersion of a non-toxic polymeric material capable of being digested by the animal, for example molasses or starch, a synthetic source of nitrogen, other than a protein, such as urea, buiret, ammonium acetate, or ammonium proprionate, and a pharmacological agent, such as a female hormone capable of stimulating growth, an anabolic steroid, an androgen, a progestational agent, or a tranquiliser. Specified are hexoestrol, stilbestrol, Rauwolfia, phenothiazine derivatives, diphenylmethane derivatives, and substituted propane diols. Additionally there may be present additives such as lactic acid and non-toxic di- or polyhydroxy organic compounds. The feed is especially suitable for steers. |
