A driving mechanism for a weft inserter which enters the shed empty and pulls the weft with it as it retracts comprises a crank operated lever 17 which it pivoted at one end to a pivoted arm 18 and is pivoted to a slide 21, attached to the inserter, at its other end and a stabilising bar 1 which is pivoted at one end to the pivot 16 of the crank and at its other end 1" is pivoted under the guide 22 for the inserter. The end 1# of the stabilising bar may be pivoted on a framework fixed to the floor adjacent the loom.</p> |
