The inter-cell connector, for accumulators, has the rectangular conductor linking plates in adjacent cells passing through a hole in the top edge of the wall that separates the cells. The conductor is enclosed by four C-shaped moulding pieces each consisting of a rectangular cut-out for the conductor and a stepped region. The four pieces close around the conductor and grip the sides of the holes in the dividing wall to form a cavity around the conductor where it passes through the wall -- a cavity that includes the edges of the hole. The cavity is filled with a plastic sealing material, and then the four moulding pieces are removed.
