A long material such as conveyor belting has a polymer layer with at least longitudinal reinforcement, the polymers is on at least oneside, and is under compression whilst the reinforcement is under tension. The compression is e.g. 1-10%, the polymer used is thermosetting, and it is cured while the belting follows a curved path where it is heated on its convex side. Good wear resistance is ensured. |
