Machine comprises a device for passing the weft thread which is continuously stored on retaining devices provided in the fabric edge zone by a thread guide circulating along a path. A number of elements, having the form of teeth, spindles or rods, are arranged near each fabric edge and are movable successively in the direction of the needles. These elements are surrounded by the weft thread and serve as accumulators. Specif. all the retaining elements of one fabric edge can be moved simultaneously around a spindle which is parallel to the tranverse edge of the fabric. |
