PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-shrinkable tube with ease without using a pressurizing device, by winding a tape-like material around a thermoplastic tube in which pressure is applied, and by removing the material after the tube is softened by heating, followed by expansion. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic tube 1 made of polyvinyl chloride, etc. is fed from the winder 3 with its one end closed, and compressed air is introduced into the tube, from the other end to pressurize the tube 1. The tube 1 is wound with the tape-like material 4, e.g. a matellic tape, etc. in two layers and passed through the heating zone 5 while being pressurized. After the tube 1 is softened by heat, the tape-like material 4 is unwound from the tube 1 to release the tube 1 from restricting force and expand it. The expanded tube 6 is cooled with the water 7 and wound with the winder 8. |
