A material for recording acoustic and optical signals simultaneously consists of a carrier which has on one side a magnetisable layer, and on the other side a light-sensitive layer which registers the optical signal. The 2 layers are of the same width and cover the whole width of the carrier. Easily produced and used. Acoustic and optical information can be reproduced synchronously. For audiovisual purposes, e.g. in teaching, in which the student hears the pronunciation and sees the script simultaneously.
