The finishing strip for the metal edges around openings in motor vehicles, has an expanded metal carrier (5) embedded in a plastics or rubber covering material (6). The carrier consists of U-shaped strips connected together by integral flexible links which resist longitudinal shrinking. A length of crinkled or corrugated wire (28) is bonded along each side of the carrier to limit stretching of the strip without preventing flexing about a transverse or longitudinal axis. |
