A propeller driven motor boat is provided having a drive shaft (11) arranged at the stern of the boat and extending with a substantially vertical component, a propeller (12) mounted below the hull and on a shaft (13) extending fore and aft with a substantially vertical component, and gearing (14) interconnecting the drive and propeller shafts (11, 13) for the transmission of power from the drive shaft (11) to the propeller shaft (13). The drive shaft (11) is mounted for rotation in upper and lower bearings (15, 16), the lower bearing (16) being arranged at the intersection of the axes of the two shafts (11, 13). <IMAGE> |
