PURPOSE:To perform the retrieval of information having voiced sound characters in a short time and without increasing the file capacity, by sequentially outputting the information in which the retrieved information in file is in agreement with the input character train, in the telephone number guide system. CONSTITUTION:The unit 1 inputting the sound character train of Japanese words, converter 2 converting the voiced sound characters in the sound character train in the unit 1 difficult in representation and the character unvoiced into the predetermined character and obtaining the key information, memory unit 3 constituting the information file taking the key information as the retrieved key information of the retrieved information, and output unit 6 for the retrieval information from the file, are provided. At retrieval, the retrieved information having the retrieved key information in agreement with the key information is picked up from the file with the key information obtained by the conversion of the input character train, the retrieval information picked up and the input character train are collated, and output is sequentially made from the train good in agreement. |
