In the case of the lightweight-construction hall, not only are any loads occurring, be they caused by the pressure of snow and/or by wind forces, absorbed by the actual load-bearing structure, but also the roofing skin serves, owing to a corresponding combination with the load-bearing structure, as a load-bearing element. The lightweight-construction hall (1) is provided with an arcuate load-bearing structure (3) comprising individual load-bearing-structure portions (4). These load-bearing-structure portions (4) are made up of individual load-bearing elements (5). The hall (1) comprises a base frame (7). A single load-bearing-structure portion (4) is provided at each end of the hall (1), whereas the other load-bearing-structure portions (4) are combined in pairs and connected at the gable by an articulation connection. Said pairs of load-bearing-structure portions have purlins (9) which can be braced and are arranged in the region of entrances (10) to the hall (1). Otherwise, there are no connections in the form of purlins and the like between the load-bearing-structure portions or the pairs of load-bearing-structure portions. The two end-side load-bearing-structure portions (4) are supported in the base frame (7) by means of supports (12). A roofing (13) is drawn over said arcuate load-bearing structure and is inherently capable of resisting tension such that it can transfer large forces, such as snow loads, without difficulty onto the arcuate load-bearing structure (3). <IMAGE>
