The injector provides a variable throughflow cross-section for the exhaust gas from the engine and for the hot gas leaving the combustion chamber. The throughflow cross-section is adjusted in relation to the gas streams to provide optimum regulation. The exhaust gas line incorporates movable flaps (27) to vary the cross-section. Their adjustment is determined in relation to the operational parameters of the engine-combustion chamber system. The flaps are spring loaded and automatically controlled corresponding to the pressure conditions in the exhaust gas- or hot gas-line.
