<p>The machine includes a contact plate(a) in which the hard metal tip is located, the plate(a) being connected to one pole of an electric power source(b). A clamp contains two jaws which are pressed against opposite sides of the saw blade; and at least one jaw is connected to the other pole of source(b), which is used for the resistance heating of the blade and the hard metal tip. At least the jaw connected to source(b) is mounted on the clamp via a universal joint, esp. by using a jaw with a spherical rear end held by a bolt against a ball seat. The result is that the jaw is properly clamped against the saw blade, thus ensuring proper electric contact. Burn- or arc-marks which impair the appearance of the blades are eliminated.</p> |
