SYSTEMS FOR TRANSMITTING INFORMATION IN AN ALTERNATING CURRENT ELECTRICITY SUPPLY SYSTEM

A method of transmitting information in an alternating current electricity supply system by alteration of the supply voltage waveform during a corresponding time period in selected cycles of the supply voltage wherein each said alteration is effected by drawing from the supply system during a period including a voltage zero a current of sufficient magnitude to reduce the supply voltage during that said period.
