<p>A system for enlarging the image on the screen of a cathode ray picture tube by increasing the deflection of the electron beam. Accompanying deterioration in contrast and brightness is reduced by blanking the overscan portions of the raster. In addition, contrast and color level controls are automatically adjusted to match the expanded image to the normal image. The blanking for both the horizontal and vertical deflection is handled by a common circuit.</p> |
