PURPOSE:To permit an exact and accurate cutting of a case by providing a vertical position adjusting means for moving a cutting edge according to the position of the top surface thereof, and a cutting depth adjusting means movable according to the desired cutting depth. CONSTITUTION:In order to conform rotating round edges 11 with the top surface C and side surface D of a case A, they are moved from their standby positions above and outside the case A toward the case A by simultaneously operating a vertical moving device 2 and a lateral moving device 4. A case retaining device 6 attached to a vertical moving body 23 is moved downward at a high speed and, at the same time, the rotating round edge 11 and a push roller 36 are moved downward at a high speed by an energizing means 5. If the light from a projecting type photoswitch PH1 attached to the case retaining device 6 is shielded by the case A, the switching action of the vertical moving device 2 takes place to cause the case retaining device 6, the rotating round edge 11 and the push roller 36 to move downward at a low speed and, if the light from a photoswitch PH2 is shielded by the case A, the downward movement thereof is suspended. |
