In an endless conveyer of the type comprising an endless band 5 traversing a horizontal loading section 1, an elevating section 3 and a discharge section 4, and a freely sagging endless belt 9 disposed above and adapted to rest on and travel with the endless band 5 along the elevating section, the endless band 5 is driven by tandem drive rollers 10, 11, at least one of which is driven through a flexible, e.g. hydraulic, coupling (14), Fig. 2 (not shown). The endless band is additionally driven in the horizontal section 1 by an endless drive band 16 and the endless belt 9 is driven by an endless drive band 19. The conveying side and the driving side of the respective bands 5, 16, 19 are provided with a high friction surface. |
