The hour and minute hands of a watch are set by pressing a watch glass 1 against the action of springs 6, and rotating it so that a gear 3, on a plate 2 rotatable with the glass 1, engages a pinion 10 to rotate the hour wheel 11 and gears 12, 13 to set the hour and minute hands 24, 25. A slipping clutch device 14 prevents driving gears 15, 16 from being rotated by the gear 13 during the setting operation. |
