PURPOSE:To make possible additonal addition of a function permitting automatic changing of copying paper sizes to a copying apparatus of lower class mounted with a single cassette by making the copying machine main unit removable from the base stand in which copying paper containing cassettes are loadable. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine main unit 1 is placed on a base stand 50. Copying paper discharge port 52 corresponding to the copying paper guide port 40 of the main unit 1 and a connector 55 electrically coupling to the locating protrusions 53, 54 engaging to pins 41, 42 are disposed in the upper part of a mchine box 51. Copying paper conveying paths are formed from the respective cassette loading parts 56, 57 up to the discharge port 52. When the main unit 1 is correctly loaded to the base stand 50 to couple the connectors 43 and 55 and a microswitch actuates as a paper guide case 85 is loaded to the cassette loading part 6, then the main unit 1 and the base stand 50 are perfectly integrated. Hence, the main unit 1 may be readily switched to a copying machine which has the function of permitting automatic changing of paper sizes. |
