PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, durability, and potential sensitivity especially at the time of long uses by using a specified disazo pigment for a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body has on a conductive substrate the photosensitive layer containing one of the disazo pigment represented by formula I in which A and A' is a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group, optionally same or different; Z is a group represented by formula II; and Ar is an arylene or 2 valence heterocyclic group, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be stable against heat and light, enhanced in carrier generating ability, sensitivity characteristics, potential stability characteristics at the time of repeated uses. |
