PURPOSE:To compensate the reactive power continuously by employing forced commutation forward converter as DC voltage source for pulse width modulation inverter which provides reactive power through a reactance to the power source system. CONSTITUTION:Forced commutation forward converter 14 and DC intermediate circuit 13 which are supplied from the system conjunction and controlled by control circuit 15 are employed as DC voltage source for pulse width modulation inverter 12 connected to the system connecting reactor 11. When regulating the control angle of the forward converter 14 reactive component of input current can be lagged or led as will while the control angle and the output voltage ratio of inverter 12 are controlled relatively by control circuit 15, thereby output voltage phase of inverter 12 and input voltage phase of forward converter 14 can be easily controlled resulting in continuous compensation of reactive power and reduction of the capacity. |
