<p>The window blind has several identical parallel blades (B) mounted at uniform centres within an edge frame. The blades are longitudinally tensioned, and are rotated by a rack and pinion mechanism on both axial extremities. The end of each blade may incorporate a pinion (28), and the racks may be formed by twin toothed (43) bars (41) at the head and foot. The bars (41) are parallel to one another, align perpendicularly to the blade (B) axes, and are located in pairs about the enmeshing with the pinions (28). A lever (46) operated control shaft (44) with drive pinions (45) effects reciprocal linear displacements of the bars (41) and thus rotates the blades (B).</p> |
