The pallet rack comprises cross-members adjustable in stages between uprights, and with hooks welded to them engaging in the uprights. The cross-members (2) are of closed rectangular section, the longest sides extending vertically and each having a continuous recess (8). The uprights (1) are of rectangular C-section with stiffening lips, there being a continuous recess in each of the sides enclosing the opening. The uprights are joined together by diagonal bracing struts, welded between the stiffening lips, extending towards each other, of every other upright. The notches (5) in the uprights for the cross-members are rectangular, and the locking hooks in the uprights are slightly narrower at the bottom that the notches.
