Tools positioner and transporter with slides - ensures longitudinal and transverse cutting of material while material moves

The fixture for positioning and transporting of tools is used in sawing mills. The tools travel along with the workpiece during machining. No special supervision of tools is needed during machining operations. A slide carrier (5) moves freely parallel with the workpiece (1) travel on guide rails (6). A tool slide (5) travels on a slide carrier at right angles to the workpiece travel. This arrangement is used in saw mills for sawing continuously travelling material. The longitudinally cut material is cut in transverse direction to required lengths while the material is moving.
