A telephone number is called from a subscriber keyboard generator either once or repetitively. Pressing keys causes the number to be repetitively called. A pause key is also included to prevent erroneous transmission of numbers. A call generater for a telephone system is operated from a subscriber keyboard. Pressing a key enables the number to be transmitted repetitively. A supplementary code can be entered from the keyboard to interrupt a number for a predetermined time period. This code is automatically sent if the subscriber allows this time between any two numbers.
