PURPOSE:To assure safety in cases of the failure of a main sensor or actuator by having a limiter actuated when the opening of a throttle valve exceeds a predetermined level in a slow driving mode, while in a constant speed driving mode, by restoring the throttle valve to a standard position by means of a brake switch. CONSTITUTION:In a throttle actuator 5 provided a limiter 21, which is actuated when the opening of a throttle valve 6 reaches the maximum value in a slow driving mode, to cut off the power source of a motor 22, and restore the throttle valve 6 to a totally enclosed position. In a constant speed driving mode, when a brake pedal 4a is used, a brake switch 24 is turned off to cut a relay 23, by which the power source of the motor 22 is cut off, and the throttle valve 6 is restored to its standard position. The alarm is also to be given by providing a sensor for the space between cars 9 and an obstacle sensor 20. A fail safe system is thus furnished to prevent the bumping or collision between cars, as well as safe and easy driving is possible with a relatively simple system. |
