PURPOSE:To diversify the manner in which the contacts of a connector make contact with each other by inserting a plug into a jack at the insertion angle of a guide and the like that is defined by the contact of the plug and jack and then connecting the conductors of the plug and the jacket together at the first stage, and turning and inserting the plug into the jack by means of a guide and the like and at a given insertion angle at the second stage. CONSTITUTION:The plug contacts of a two-contact-type coaxial connector are formed of a conductor 23 and an insulator 31, and are located off the center point of the opening of its plug opening, while an external conductor 3 is provided with a protrusion 4 for guiding each of the plug contacts to each of jack contacts. The jack contacts are formed of an internal conductor 20 or conductors 21, 22 of elastic structure and are retained by a center insulator 10 and an insulator 11. At the first stage the protrusion 4 of the plug is inserted straight into the guide channel 2 of its jack to force the respective conductors 23, 20 of its plug and jacket to make contact with each other. At the second stage the plug which has been inserted into the connector at a predetermined angle to that inserted at the first stage is rotated by 180 degrees and is further inserted straight into the connector so that the contacts are forced to make elastic contact with each other. |
