The lock (2) has a bowl-shaped disc (24) which is mounted rotatably in the lock cover (23). It has two stop faces (25, 26) for the locking bit of a rotary cylinder, which engages into the bowl-shaped disc, and a driving disc which is mounted eccentrically relative to the latter and which actuates the lock bolt. The bowl-shaped disc has two markings (R, L) for right-fastening and left-fastening, each of which can be set to a fixed mark (30) of a collar of the lock cover. To convert from right-fastening to left-fastening, the lock is fitted rotated through 180 DEG and the corresponding marking (L) of the bowl-shaped disc is set at the fixed mark (30). Because the bowl-shaped disc (24) serves as an intermediate member between the bolt and the espagnolettes, on the one hand, and the rotary cylinder actuating the lock, on the other hand, the lock can be used selectively for right-fastening or left-fastening without any constructional change. <IMAGE>
