The blood testing device for checking the possibility of thrombosis, uses a cannular for extracting a sample of blood. The sample passes along a measuring line due to the suction induced by a piston. Incorporated in this line is a measuring disc to simulate an artery of the human body. In parallel with this disc is a pressure indicating meter, and this can be connected to a pen recorder producing an indication on a chart. The piston is operated by a drive to give a stedy controlled rate of travel. The measuring disc is of fibrous material such as felt, wood wool, fleece etc.
