Dual purpose double skinned light dome - has solar energy collector between skins with opaque part area insulating layer

The light dome, which has two shells, is esp. of the type used on flat roofs, with an opaque intermediate layer interposed between the shells over part of its area. A solar heat collector (6) is installed between the two shells (1, 2) with its insulation layer (7) forming the opaque layer. The intake and outlet ducts of the solar heater system may be carried through the enclosing frame (3) of the shells and led back into the dome through the mounting ring (4). This enables solar energy to be utilised without affecting the usual functions of a light dome.
