The device is for sealing openings, esp. window holes, in unfinished buildings as a protection against theft or weather. There is a cover (12) for fitting to the outside (13) of the masonry (11), to lie against the periphery of the opening (10) all round. This has two diagonal struts (14, 17) on the inside each with two sliding releasable fixture devices (27-31). The fixture devices have a tension bolt (27) at right angles to the closure plane, passing through to the inside of the building, holding a nut (29) with a support (31) fitting against the inside (21) of the wall, and firmly clampable. This can be quickly fitted and is reliable and well sealed.
