<p>An overhead conveyor is used to carry structural members for forming arched mine gallery supporting frames. Members (19) attached to the gallery roof form a track for a travelling carriage (10) from which is supported a tilting beam (1) with a carrier (14) for the structural members. Attached to the foremost part of the roof mounted member (19) is lifting tackle (24) with a chain (41, 44) attached to the beam at a point between the carrier and the pivot axis (3) under the support (48) on the carrier (14) is a tie rod (6) parallel to the beam.</p> |
